The short version: kadn blocks apps with friction you choose yourself. By using it, you agree that the walls you set are meant to hold, even against you. Payments run through Apple. We are honest about limits, and we expect fair use.
These terms are an agreement between you and Simpdi Media LLC, 8 The Green, Ste R, Dover, Delaware 19901, United States (“kadn”, “we”). They cover the kadn iOS app and the kadn.app website. By creating an account or using the app, you accept these terms. How we handle your data is described in our Privacy Policy.
kadn lets you block apps on your own device with rules, sessions, and daily limits at three hardness levels. Blocking is enforced by iOS on your device; accounts, rule sync, and partner features run on our servers in the EU. We describe the product truthfully on this site; the details there, including how each level works, are part of what you are agreeing to.
kadn requires an account. Sign in with Apple, with Google, or with an e-mail address. Keep your sign-in to yourself, and use one account for yourself only. You can delete your account, and all synced data with it, inside the app at any time.
kadn offers a free trial, subscriptions, and a lifetime purchase. All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store; we never see your payment details. Current prices are always shown in the app and on the App Store page.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can cancel anytime in your App Store subscription settings. Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple’s own rules.
This is the heart of kadn, so we say it plainly. When you set a rule, you are asking us to make it hard to undo. By using kadn you agree that:
Choose your hardness honestly. If you may need an emergency exit, set up a partner before using Blocked, or pick a softer level.
If your subscription ends, the rules you already set remain active and fully enforced for 30 more days, unless you disable or delete them yourself through the normal waiting periods. The paywall only prevents creating new rules. Cancelling your subscription is therefore not a shortcut past your own walls, and you agree to that on purpose.
Linking an accountability partner requires consent on both sides, by exchanging codes. Your partner sees numbers, never content, as described in the Privacy Policy. Either side can unlink at any time. If you unlink your partner while Blocked-level rules are active, those rules keep running without an unlock path until their waiting periods pass, so think before you unlink.
kadn is a tool, not a warden, and not a medical product. It does not diagnose, treat, or cure anything, and we promise no specific outcome; the numbers we cite are study averages, not guarantees. kadn blocks apps, never phone calls: emergency calls and the core phone functions of iOS remain available. If compulsive phone use is seriously harming your life, please also talk to a professional.
Do not abuse the service: no attacks on our servers, no reverse engineering except where the law allows it, no reselling, and no setting up rules on another person’s device without their knowledge and consent. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service or other users.
We work to keep kadn reliable, but no service is available 100% of the time, and iOS updates can change what is technically possible. We may improve or change features over time. If a change would meaningfully reduce what you paid for, we will inform you in the app.
You can stop using kadn and delete your account at any time inside the app; active enforcement mechanics, including waiting periods and the grace period, still apply as described above. We may terminate accounts that violate these terms. Purchases remain governed by Apple’s rules.
To the extent permitted by law, we are liable without limit for intent and gross negligence, and for slight negligence only where we breach an essential obligation, limited to the foreseeable, typical damage. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory consumer rights.
The app is distributed through Apple’s App Store. Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies in addition to these terms where required, Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for kadn, and Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms with the right to enforce them against you.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA. If you live in the EU or the UK, you additionally keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your home country, and you may bring claims before your local courts.
We may update these terms from time to time. For material changes we will inform you in the app or by e-mail before they take effect. If you keep using kadn after that, the updated terms apply.
